Learn Chinese in 30 days! Pimsleur Level I Chinese Language Programs will, uniquely in this short period, take you to the "Intermediate Low" level of spoken Chinese as determined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages ( ACTFL scale ). At this level you will be able to create with the Chinese language, ask and answer simple questions on familiar topics in Chinese, and handle a simple situation or transaction.

Drawn from the core of the language, your vocabulary from the Comprehensive I program will not be extensive but nonetheless highly functional. What you do say you will say well. More importantly you will be able to continue progress with the language from a well-established natural foundation. Completing Levels II and III gives you Intermediate High level spoken skills, well on the road to advanced fluency.
